I started my adventure in pottery in 2010, taking classes from Andy, Fran, and Jane.
At the time I was working full-time in government defense and feeling frustrated and bored. I wanted to be creative; making beautiful, creative, and useful things out of clay is what I felt I was meant to do. In 2011 I was downsized and I happily took the opportunity to stay home with my kids and make pottery full time.
All my work is handmade, glazed and fired in my 300 sq. ft. home studio located in Manassas, VA. I primarily use the wheel to make most of my pieces but also try to incorporate some type of hand-built element into my work. I make mugs, bowls, platters, vases, soap & trinket dishes, and other housewares. As a semi-new potter I feel like I’m beginning to really develop and understand my style and I’m proud of it.
