She was born in south korea in 1953. In 1986, She immigrated to America. Ever since her childhood, she has always dreamed of learning about ceramics. Once retired, she started to pursue her lifelong dream by taking classes. She decided to go back to Korea which has one of the longest and most extensive ceramics histories in the world. She attended and completed courses in ceramics at Dankuk university of Seoul, Korea.
After coming back to the states, she continued to expand her ceramics education along with sculpture and drawing at Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington DC . She received a certificate in Sculpture and Ceramics. Clara’s special interest in ceramics is teapots. Currently, she owns a ceramics and art studio in Aldie, Va and teaches students.
